We've Got You!

For more than 40 years, CABPES has partnered with highly motivated middle and high school students interested in STEM. The students bring focus, resilience, and a commitment to learn. In exchange, CABPES provides college/university test prep, after-school STEM classes taught by working STEM professionals, industry-related field trips, networking opportunities, scholarship announcements, and other important information.

If you're a high school senior, the next few months will be full of important choices: Should I go to college? If so, which college or university should I choose? If not, what will I do after high school graduation?

At CABPES, we understand that making those decisions can be challenging and stressful. For the next few months, we will provide information that, hopefully, will make the process easier. While most of those details will be discussed during in-person, after-school classes, we will also post news about scholarships and higher education announcements as it becomes available.

Banner announcing Colorado Free Application Days, Oct. 20-22, 2026
Last year, students saved more than $2.4 million by applying during Colorado Free Application Days.

Colorado Free Application Days eliminate a significant barrier to pursuing entry to in-state colleges and universities.

According to the Colorado Department of Higher Education, from October 20-22, "many public colleges and universities in Colorado and several private institutions will waive their application fees, making it free for Colorado residents to submit an application."

Detailed instructions on how to participate in Colorado Free Application Days are available on the Colorado Department of Higher Education website. The application process may vary from institution to institution, so read the instructions carefully. Contact a school's Admissions Department directly if you're interested in a college or university that doesn't appear on the Colorado Department of Higher Education's list.

More than 71,500 applications were submitted during Colorado Free Application Days in 2025. Don't miss your chance to participate in this amazing opportunity!
