Fall Math Programs - Kick Off Event - Tuesday, September

The
Colorado Association of Black Professional Engineers and Scientists
(CABPES) will kick off their 2007/2008 programs on Tuesday,
September 4, 2007, 6:00 p.m., at the Park Hill Library, 4705
Montview Boulevard, Denver, CO. CABPES offers engineering, math
and SAT preparation programs for any middle or high school student.
The
JETS (Junior Engineers, Tomorrow's Scientists) classes include
Architecture, Civil Engineering, Computer-Aided Engineering
and Design, Construction Management, Electronics, Introduction
to Computers and Mechanical Engineering. All classes are taught
by professionals working in the field, usually engineers or
other technical experts. Classes are offered on Tuesday or Thursday
evenings throughout the school year from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Classes
are held at the CABPES Center, 4301 East Colfax Avenue and will
begin on Tuesday, September 25, 2007.
CABPES
also offers a Math Enrichment Program featuring an intensive
math program on Monday, Wednesdays and Thursday, as well as
providing tutors through an on-request program. The math program
begins on September 10, 2007 at the CABPES Center.
Additionally,
a six-week SAT Preparation Program is offered in the fall and
the spring to help prepare students for the SAT college entrance
examination. The fall program begins on Monday, September
26, 2007.
